Santas on the Run
The street is
filled with Santas
on the run.
The only
similarities
among them are
red caps and coats.
They are
tall and short,
slight and stocky.
They hit their
own stride, set
their own pace.
Visions of the
finish line dance
in their heads.
The reindeer
sit back and smile.

Just happened to have seen a few thousands of Santas in NYC a few weeks ago. The colors in the subway changed from dark tones to brightly colored reds and whites. We laughed.
