Wake Up Call

I wrote this after seeing the moon when I was out early one morning. I used to be surprised to see the moon in the morning. Now, I look for it.

Wake Up Call

Good morning, Moon.
What's keeping
you out
this
time of day?
Some celestial
celebration?
Is the earth
making
too much noise?
Has the stress
of daily existence
given you
insomnia?
Or, do you
show yourself
at this odd time
to remind us
you are there
even when
we don't
see you?
at

    When its a full moon in our neighborhood, I'm scared to look in out backyard. It's like a big flashlight, and I'm always skittish that I'll look out a see a pair of eyes meeting mine. I love seeing a moon though. TALU
