Stretch Status Quo

This is my attempt at the form called double exposure.

Stretch
Status Quo

I feel the need to stretch, the time is right.
I am happy to call the park my home.
The changes I want are not yet in sight.
It offers me plenty of space to roam.

How different do I want things to be?
I see friends and family everywhere.

Patience is important, I'll wait and see.
It is a comfort to know they are there.
Opportunities will show up in time.
I have my favorite places to eat.
I'll have to choose which ones seem to be prime.
I find standard fare and some special treats.
I don't know how far my reach will extend,
There are many spaces on which to rest.
if it will be far enough in the end.
Cool grass is nice, but warm rocks are the best.
Soon, there will be no reason to delay.
The lake may be still or choppy and rough.
I will decide which day will be the day.
I move to its rhythm, that's good enough.
I'll make my choices and give it my all.
I've thought about change, but why should I go?
Whatever the result, I will stand tall.
I'm content to live with the status quo.
