Is It In the Way?
Is It In the Way?
The eagle approaches a tree.
Is it in the way?
It blocks the view beyond it
and possibly below.
But, it offers shade and cover.
Places to sit and gaze
rather than hover.
This day, the eagle flies by.
On another, it will take a seat
and spend some time.

We Head Toward Fall
We head toward fall.
Await the change in colors
and the crunchy steps.
Watch the wind carry seeds
so they can break new ground.
Birds and butterflies pass through
on the way to other residences.
