Why does the dragon fly
stop on the dried plant?
The bright color is gone.
All that was soft has
become brittle.
What does the dragon fly
see that I can't?
Perhaps, a time when
a stop here was sweeter.

An Early Fall
The coneflower cradles the leaf.
The plant has broken the fall

Light Breaks Through
Light breaks through
the darkness.
Arrives with a promptness.
The day begins anew.
I bid the sun adieu.
Hope night won't be endless.

or I feel a little restless,
