Foggy

Foggy

The morning fog
is stealth.
It slips in while
the sun is asleep
and burns off as
the light increases.

The afternoon fog
is brazen.
It inserts itself
into the middle
of the day.
Obscures the views
then ambles away.

In a Fog

In a Fog

Like a cloud
with acrophobia,
the fog sits close
to the ground.
Our eyes search
for the everyday
sights we take
for granted--
a stop sign,
a street light,
the road ahead.
We will not
see them again
until the fog
conquers its fear
and begins to lift.

How do someone else's fears impact us?

Fogged In

Fogged In

Bogged down
by the fog,
damp and dreary.
Hard to see what's
in front of me.
When the sun
shines again,
I'll have a new
appreciation
of the view.
