Something New in the Park
Something New in the Park
There's something new
in the park!
I take in its
coloring and markings.
Its build and
the way it moves.
I watch it search for food.
Its stillness and focus.
Then, the quickness of its strike.
I hesitate to leave
though I have learned
much firsthand.
When there's something new
in the park,
I don't want my visit to end.
