Hold On To Hope

Hold On To Hope

Hold on to hope
One way to cope
I stay afloat
without a boat
Keep my eyes on
the horizon

This poem is a cywydd deuair fyrion, a Welsh couplet form.

The Last Day of Vacation

The Last Day of Vacation

I take one more
stroll by the shore.
Breathe in sea air.
Watch the sun dance
on the water.
Let my eyes scan
the horizon.
Listen to waves
as they roll in.
The time has come
for me to turn
and walk away.
At that moment,
I am jealous
of those who are
able to stay.

On the Horizon

On the Horizon

There is something on the way.
What it is, I cannot say.

Nothing will keep it at bay.
It may even come today.

It could bring joy or dismay,
but I will not run away.
