Reliving History

Reliving History

The ancient storyteller
uses a lyre to help
him pass on the truth.

Calls to the muses
whenever he is confused.

Proclaims the songs too hard,
but continues in his role as bard.

Recites, revises, relives as long as
history repeats itself.

Does history repeat itself? Can we change that?

  1. Michelle, I sometimes turn to your insightful poems when my brain wonders. It's like i can't find the start key, the engine churns but nothing happens. Reading about stories from the past, from storytellers like the bard, I've often wondered how old my soul might be. Yes, I see that history repeats itself, the good and the bad. Can we change the bad, I don't know.

    1. I love that, Letty. I hope the poems help the engine turnover. I definitely feel like an old soul. I guess all we can do is try to change what we can.
