The Woodpecker
Why doesn't
the woodpecker sing
instead of making holes
in everything?
Why does it settle
for pecking on metal?
As a child, I loved
a cartoon woodpecker.
It made a noise like,
"ha ha ha ha ha."
Now, I feel like
a live one
is in my living room,
and it laughs at me, too.
