An Apology to Flies
I have always
thought of you
as picnic-crashers
and nuisances.
When I saw
two of you
sitting on my
daylily, I
wondered what
brought you there.
Did you serve
a purpose?
I didn't know
so I did
some research
and found out
that you are
pollinators
for some flowers.
I am sorry
I misjudged you.
Next time I
see you at
a picnic,
maybe we can
split a hotdog.
