Earth Day Present
What better way
to spend Earth Day
than taking pictures
in a park?
The ducks and geese
were up to
their usual antics
when I saw
a blue heron
flying over the lake.
It landed on
a stone ledge
and gazed at
the water, then
paced on the grass.
Suddenly, it took off
and flew in
the direction from
which it came.
I was told that
herons frequented
the park, but this
was the first one
I had seen.
Happy Earth Day to me!
