Throw Me a Curve

Throw Me a Curve

When life throws me a curve, I have to have nerve.
Try to keep my cool, not ramble like a fool.
I view this as a test, try not to get stressed.
Set off down the path with fortitude not wrath.

This poem is a mashnavi (or mathnawi).

Different Directions

Different Directions

Pulled in
different directions.
Feel like I cannot win.
Splitting into sections.
Call on strength from within.

This poem is a bob and wheel.

A Walk in the Park

A Walk in the Park

I take a walk
in the park.
Spend time with
some winged things.
See them fly,
walk and swim.
Watch the fish
make a splash.
Spot dragon flies
that are
lightning fast.
Reflect on all
in this space.
It does my
heart good.

Two Ducks

Two Ducks

Things aren't just ducky for two ducks.
They often swim together here.
Now, as they get closer to shore,
they split apart, friendship in flux.

This poem is a Barzeletta, an Italian form with different interpretations.
