Alone Time
The eagle leaves the others behind
to soar out on its own.
Lands near the top of a tree.
Surveys the park thoroughly,
but stays on its perch.
Nothing entices it
to give up its alone time.

Alone Time
I am a poet and photographer who likes sports, jazz and art inspired by other art. Another Day Together
Leaves align on the branches.
Some wave above the others.
Some hang below.
Those in the middle may
be found lying down.
Whatever their position,
they put their colors on display.

before they fall away.
