I think in today's world, earphones that aren't plugged into anything are a great representation of silence. No iPod, no smartphone, no iPad, no iTunes-no sound!
Take a picture that shows your image of silence and post a link to it on the Wordsmith Studio blog post for this prompt. Thanks to Rebecca Barray for another great prompt.

I like it! Having headphones on, but not plugged in, is a good way to get some silence!
ReplyDeleteAh, the old look left, throw right principle. Thanks, Becca.
DeleteThere are lots of ways to look at this pic and see silence! lol. Great idea!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Bolton. I love your empty practice field photo.
DeleteIt's funny, but the first thing I thought of was Simon & Garfunkel's The Sounds of Silence. I guess that even if we are unplugged, it's never totally silent. At least, in some ways. What an insightful, telling post. A terrific interpretation.
ReplyDeleteThe Sounds of Silence is one of my favorite songs. Thanks for stopping by RJ.
