I am a poet and photographer who likes sports, jazz and art inspired by other art. I served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the early 1970's and was assigned to the Computer Sciences School in Quantico, VA. I have published a chapbook of grief poems, I Keep You with Me. Sundown
When sunset comes round,
the natural light turns itself down.
Bids us a colorful goodnight.
Glows like a dying ember
then is extinguished by
the limitations of our vision.

The Sun
The Sun
The sun glowed like a bangle
then became invisible from every angle.
I saw it go down
and felt alone, on my own.
When next it sat above a cloud,
the sight made my heart sing out loud.
This form is called diminishing verse.
