The wind gust
picks up the leaves.
They go downhill.
It won't be a breeze, but,
with a change of direction,
they will get back up.

Snowflakes in Trees
Snowflakes in Trees
Like raindrops on leaves,
snowflakes settle on tree branches.
They form white accent lines
against the dark bark.
Some get lost in the background of clouds,
as though they had never fallen.
