Behind a Curtain
I stand behind a curtain.
Certain I am hidden.
But, the curtain is sheer.
So, everyone knows I'm here.

In Sync
In Sync
I watch them fly.
Maintain the same height.
Move wings up and down
at the same time.
Remain in sync
as long as I see them.

Catch
Catch
a fish in the lake
a ball on a diamond
the bus at the corner
up with a friend
me if you can
you later

Let It Pass
Let It Pass
I will not
follow the crowd.
No matter how
big or how loud.
I'll let it pass by.
Follow my heart.
Stand alone.
Let my voice
be heard.

Loss Comes Early
.JPG)
Loss Comes Early
Loss comes early to me
My neighbors' leaves
are still green.
Mine have turned and gone.
All my blemishes are exposed.
I wish loss didn't come early to me,
but it is my nature.
This is a persona poem.

No Stopping
No Stopping
This red doesn't stop.
It appears throughout
the tree from
bottom to top.
A signal that
the season of change
is upon us.

Fall Colors
Fall Colors
Fall colors fall as
reflections on the lake.
They appear and disappear
from day-to-day.
Fall colors fall as
the leaves let go.
Blanket the ground
then the wind comes along.
Fall colors fall until
they all are gone.
