Equinox

Dark and light

fill our days.

Usually, one

outweighs the other.

Light increases

until it reaches

its maximum number

of hours then

retreats in small

increments, letting

darkness reign.

But twice each year,

light and dark

call a truce and

give us a day

we share equally

with the two.
