Stretch Status Quo
I feel the need to
stretch, the time is right.
I am happy to call the park my home. The changes I want
are not yet in sight.
It offers me plenty of space to roam. How different do I
want things to be?
I see friends and family everywhere.
Patience is
important, I'll wait and see.
It is a comfort to know they are there.Opportunities will
show up in time.
I have my favorite places to eat.I'll have to choose
which ones seem to be prime.
I find standard fare and some special treats.I don't know how far
my reach will extend,
There are many spaces on which to rest.if it will be far
enough in the end.
Cool grass is nice, but warm rocks are the best.Soon, there will be
no reason to delay.
The lake may be still or choppy and rough.I will decide which
day will be the day.
I move to its rhythm,
that's good enough.I'll make my choices
and give it my all.
I've thought about change, but why should I go?Whatever the result,
I will stand tall.
I'm content to live with the status quo.Links

Different Ways
Different Ways
I watch the phlox
as its petals unfold.
The coneflower grows
a center first then petals
sprout all around it.
The white of the
daisy's petals are visible.
They stand up and
reveal the center.
Different ways,
the same result-
a beautiful flower.

Good to See You
Good to See You
Welcome! I am so happy to see you.
Who knew how long it would be?
Once blue, now I'm filled with glee.
This is a Welsh form called Englyn Penfyr.

Your Time
Your Time
This is your time to
bask in the light.
Show off your colors,
your texture, your depth
before the sun sets.

Daydreams
Daydreams
I move in rhythm
with the waves. Cares float away.
All my daydreams rock.

Throw Shade
Throw Shade
The day is bright.
I sit in the light.
Soon darkness falls
on some but not all.
The sun isn't afraid
to throw a little shade.
