Watch the Petals

Watch the
petals unfold.
They stand tall,
colorful and strong.
Look radiant in
the sun.
Some are beaten
down by storms
while they are
still young.
Others hold on,
fade and fall.
Blow away
in the wind
or return to
the soil.
